Felix founded Plant-for-the-Planet in 2007 when he was just 9 years old, as he prepared a presentation on climate crisis. Inspired by the Kenyan Noble Peace laureate Wangari Maathai, who planted 30 million trees in 30 years, Felix came up with the vision that children in every country in the world could plant a million trees. The Change Chocolate is already avaible in following shops: Akzenta, dm Drogeriemarkt, Rewe Dortmund, tegut and Tengelmann Süd. At the beginning of Mai the chocolate will also be avaible in Kaufland, in mid-may even in Austria. Futher will follow within the next weeks. On 6th of February the first merchants already signaled their interest to list The Change Chocolate (see a full list of interested merchants here). Of course you can also buy the chocolate directly from our website.
We have lots of plans for the chocolate and have already developed some great ideas, for example you can join in with your friends. You’ll find more details on this website soon and on our Facebook page.
We want cocoa farmers' children to be able to go to school instead of picking cocoa beans for us. Therefore our chocolate is a real “Children’s Chocolate”. We children have learned a lot about chocolate. The production of 100g of chocolate produces 300g of CO2. We have also learned that most of 2 million cocoa farmers' children have to work in the cocoa fields, instead of going to school. It’s a world away from ours! This chocolate is therefore produced exactly as we children would produce every product – fair and climate neutral.
