How to join?
Follow these 5 steps:
- Select the email address of a politician of your country (you have to select it in the drop down menu) and copy it to the clipboard.
- Copy the subject line: Nature Restoration Law/My future is in your hands!
- Copy the email content from the below button
- Replace the words in bold, ie: Name of the politician, Your Age and Your Name
- Send the email before the 12th of July
Share the action with family and friends! And repeat the steps if you want to write to more politicians!

What is the EU Restoration Law?
The time to act is now! On July 11/12, the European Parliament will hold a final vote on the EU Restoration Law. It is our best political means to fight against droughts, floods and other climate-related extreme weather events. But it is on the brink of being stopped.
All the efforts made so far are not enough to stop the environmental crises. Until now, EU law did not provide for binding targets for the restoration of various ecosystems.
With the European Green Deal, a new EU biodiversity strategy until 2030 was introduced, and it could change a lot: One of the measures mentioned there is a legislative proposal with binding restoration targets for nature. This was published on June 22, 2022.
Several EU committees have already voted against the proposed law. Next is the vote in the EU Parliament. This vote is crucial in moving towards a healthy planet for us and future generations.
However, there is a strong group of Members of the European Parliament (MEP) who are against this law. They stir up fears and spread false and misleading information. But we want to take the chance to change these politicians' minds by addressing them directly.
What you can do!
We have created a template letter that you can use to contact your MEPs directly. You can find their addresses under your respective country's flag.
The politicians who are against this law are mostly from the EPP group. Reaching them is very important, but we can also encourage politicians of other groups by sending them an email.
Feel free to adapt the text and let us know (empowement@plant-for-the-planet.org) who you wrote to and who answered you.

So geht's in 5 Schritten:
- Kopiere die E-Mail-Adresse eines Politikers deines Landes (das lässt sich im Dropdown-Menü ‘nach Land’ auswählen) und füge sie in die E-Mail-Adresszeile ein
- Kopiere die Betreffzeile: EU-Wiederherstellungs-Gesetz/Meine Zukunft liegt in Ihren Händen!
- Kopiere den Inhalt der E-Mail, in dem du unten die grüne Email-Schaltfläche anklickst
- Ersetze die fettgedruckten Wörter, d.h.: Name des Politikers, dein Alter und deinen Namen
- Schicke die E-Mail vor dem 12. Juli 2023
Teile die Aktion gern mit deiner Familie und deinen Freunden! Und wiederhole die Schritte, wenn Du weitere Politiker*innen anschreiben willst!
Hinweis: Achte darauf, die E-Mail entsprechend zu anzupassen, wenn du zum Beispiel gar kein(e) Botschafter*in für Klimagerechtigkeit bist.

- Vyberte e-mailovou adresu politika vaší země (musíte ji vybrat v rozevírací nabídce) a zkopírujte ji do schránky.
- Zkopírujte předmět: EU Recovery Act/Moje budoucnost je ve vašich rukou!
- Zkopírujte obsah e-mailu kliknutím na zelené tlačítko e-mailu níže.
- Nahraďte tučně vyznačená slova, tj: Jméno politika, váš věk a vaše jméno.
- E-mail odešlete do 12. července 2023.
