Video Journalist

Plant-for-the-Planet is a global organization advocating for large-scale restoration around the world and empowering children and youth in the fight against the climate crisis. 

We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Video Reporter to join our team on the Yucatán pensinsula in Constitución, Campeche, Mexico

As a Video Reporter on our restoration sites, you will be responsible for producing short clips for our channels and platforms that keep our donors updated and in touch with their planted trees.


  • Film, interview, and edit short clips (30 seconds to 2 minutes) independently
  • Identify and develop new stories related to ecosystem restoration
  • Responsibility for the camera equipment
  • Welcome journalists, influencers & partners on site
  • Write blog articles about the challenges the restoration process is faced with. 
  • Engage with the Plant-for-the-Planet community, restoration organizations, and other stakeholders to create content and stories from different perspectives on why ecosystem restoration is important to tackle the climate crisis
  • Create at least one content piece a week


  • 1 year experience filming, making interviews and editing
  • Experienced in handling a semi-professional video camera
  • Passionate about telling stories in short reports for online or television
  • Social Media expert, familiar with the latest trends and ability to increase followers
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to meet short deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment, and coordinate with various teams, departments, and divisions
  • Willingness to move to Constitución
  • Identification with the values and mission of Plant-for-the-Planet
