From the 19th of September to the 3rd of October 2015, five Plant-for-the-Planet Academies took place in Ghana.
During this five Academies, 400 children from 50 schools in Ghana became Climate Justice Ambassadors and planted nearly 300 (297) trees overall.
There was one Academy in Sevegalu, Northern Region of Ghana at the 19th of September. In total 80 children from 10 schools attended to this Academy and graduated to Climate Justice Ambassadors. During the planting session 85 mainly umbrella trees were planted.
On the same day, another Academy took place in Tumu, Upper West Region of Ghana. There attended also 80 children from 10 schools and in total they planted 19 Acacia trees, 21 Mango trees and 17 Flamboyant trees.
One day later, on the 20th of September, another 80 children from 10 schools attended the Plant-for-the-Planet Academy in Nantong in the Northern Region of Ghana. They planted 50 trees, in a blend of Mahogany and Nim.
The fourth Academy took place in Paga, Chaina District, on the 26th of September. Like in the other Academies, the full number of 80 participants from 10 schools (8 students from each) appeared. In total they planted 80 trees consisting Mango and Acacia.
The fifth Academy occurred on the 3rd of October in Yagaba, Moagduri District, Ghana. The 80 children from 10 schools planted 25 Acacia trees on that day.
