On 19th of November 2018 another academy took place in Salvador the capital of the state Bahia in north-east Brazil. Fernando Presídio public school in the suburbs of Salvador was chosen as the location for the academy, supported by ICLEI (Local Governments for sustainability) and KAS (Konrad Adenauer Stiftung).
The two institutions were able to cover the logistic costs such as the trip of two climate justice ambassadors from Mariana, Minas Gerais, and the training costs for volunteers. Till the end of the day 38 new climate justice ambassadors were trained.
Due to the academy a hundred new trees were planted on 14th of December with the participation of parents and the local community supported by the municipality of Salvador.
