Meet our Global Ambassadors Council

Any young person under 23 years old by August 30, 2025 is eligible to apply. We welcome passionate individuals from all backgrounds who care about climate justice, ecosystem restoration, and youth empowerment. There is no minimum age—what matters most is your commitment, creativity, and motivation to make an impact.

No! While being part of our network is great, it’s not a requirement. You don’t need to have participated in an Academy or previous activities. This opportunity is open to any young changemaker aligned with our values and mission.

We aim for a balanced representation of youth from around the world. Ideally, we will select two representatives (gender balanced) from each major region: Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Yes. We ask all applicants to submit a 2–3 minute video introducing themselves, sharing why they want to join the Council, their experience in climate justice activism and what kind of initiatives or projects they would like to work on. This helps us get a better sense of your personality, passion, and ideas.

Roughly 10 to 20 hours per month, depending on your involvement in specific projects or campaigns. The role is flexible and voluntary, but active participation is expected throughout the 2-year term.

Yes! We welcome nominations for Climate Justice Ambassadors, local youth leaders, or environmental activists who you believe should be part of the Council. Use the Nomination Form to tell us about them and why they’d be a great fit.

As a Global Ambassador Council member, you will:

• Represent your region and youth in international spaces

• Lead and support empowerment projects and campaigns

• Attend the annual Youth Summit and other key events

• Access exclusive training, mentoring, and networking opportunities

• Grow your leadership and advocacy skills

• Scale your own impact with the support of an international foundation

• Be featured in blogs, campaigns, and global communications
• Receive a certificate and letter of recommendation at the end of your term

1. We’re looking for young people who are:
   • Under 23 years old by August 30, 2025
   • Passionate about climate justice, youth empowerment, and ecosystem restoration
   • Actively engaged in local or international projects, activism, or community organizing
   • Creative and committed, with ideas for new initiatives or ways to scale existing impact
   • Willing to collaborate and communicate with a global team
   • Ready to dedicate time (10–20 hours/month) to a 2-year term

We aim to ensure regional and gender balance, as well as diversity of experience, background, and perspectives.

Selections will be based on your written responses, video submission, and overall alignment with the Global Ambassador Council values and vision. Final decisions are made by a youth-led, regionally balanced Selection Committee with the support of Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation members.
