Prem Raval swapped a childhood dream of becoming an astronaut for one closer to home: using technology and public relations to protect the planet. As Sr. IT Program Manager, he helps build the ForestCloud ecosystem for Restoration and Empowerment; he also serves as the director for Plant-for-the-Planet's India entity, ForestCloud Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

Prem Raval grew up in India dreaming of space. He chose a mission closer to home instead: using technology and public relations to protect the planet we all share. A trained computer engineer, he won India's national Smart India Hackathon before joining Plant-for-the-Planet in 2020, convinced that thoughtful technology can drive real environmental change.
Today, as Senior IT Program Manager, he helps run the foundation's digital backbone from India: the websites, domains, servers, analytics, and infrastructure that keep a global organisation online, alongside the ForestCloud ecosystem, a suite of free tools that help fund, manage, and monitor restoration projects worldwide. Increasingly, his work centres on artificial intelligence and automation, finding practical ways to bring both into the daily work of a global non-profit.

His reach goes beyond infrastructure. Prem shapes international partnerships, plans events, helps with digital marketing, empowers the foundation's climate justice ambassadors, and helps build a growing global engineering team. As Director of Plant-for-the-Planet's Indian entity, ForestCloud Solutions Private Limited, he owns operations and compliance for the region, and serves as Asia-Pacific Regional Focal Point for the GEF CSO Network, representing civil society across Asia-Pacific.

A climate activist at heart, he carries that work onto the world stage. In 2023 he represented the foundation as a delegate at the UN SDG Summit at United Nations HQ in New York, where he also joined Google's Tech for Social Good gathering during General Assembly week. He has spoken at the International Youth Summit in Germany and taken part in the World Sustainable Development Summit in New Delhi, putting the foundation's restoration technology in front of governments, scientists, and NGOs.

His philosophy is simple: technology, used well, delivers concrete, sustainable impact, step by step, toward a better world for all.
